Adopt a Site Project: Viva Insurance x WMI
On May 17th, 2025, Viva 365 Insurance Brokers officially joined the movement to restore Kenya’s landscapes by adopting a special green space—the meditation site—at the Wangari Maathai Institute for Peace and Environmental Studies, University of Nairobi.
Through the Adopt a Site initiative under the Landscape Repair and Transformation (LANSRET) program, Viva committed to growing and nurturing 20 indigenous trees at the site. More importantly, the company pledged to maintain and care for the space for the next three years—a strong example of environmental responsibility in action.
This partnership reflects a shared vision of environmental stewardship between Hearts of Green, Wangari Maathai Institute, and corporate partners like Viva. Through initiatives like this, we are not just planting trees—we are growing legacy spaces for learning, peace, and biodiversity.

The adopted site serves as a living classroom, offering environmental education opportunities for students and visitors.
