Greening Inkiito: Viva Insurance Joins Hands with Hearts of Green

On a bright and hopeful day in Inkiito, Kajiado County, Hearts of Green Organization, in partnership with Viva 365 Insurance Brokers, brought life to the dry landscape through a spirited tree planting exercise at Inkiito Primary School.

This initiative was part of our broader Landscape Repair and Transformation (LANSRET) program—a campaign designed to restore degraded landscapes, empower local communities, and promote environmental stewardship through tree growing.

Together with students, teachers, and community members, we planted a variety of indigenous and fruit trees, symbolizing resilience, sustainability, and the promise of a greener tomorrow. The day was filled with laughter, teamwork, and a shared vision for restoring the environment and creating a lasting impact for future generations.

Viva Insurance’s presence was more than symbolic—they showed up, planted trees, and committed to being long-term partners in restoration efforts. Their support not only brought resources but also inspired local youth to actively participate in environmental conservation.

Why Inkiito?

Inkiito lies in a semi-arid region, where deforestation and land degradation threaten both livelihoods and biodiversity. This tree planting initiative aimed to:

Reclaim degraded school land for shade and learning

Introduce fruit trees to supplement nutrition

Build awareness among learners about climate action

A Growing Legacy

Every tree planted is a step toward environmental healing and a legacy of action. Through LANSRET, we continue to invite corporate partners like Viva to not only plant trees—but to plant hope.
